Terms and conditions

These terms are an agreement between you and {{COMPANY_LEGAL_NAME}} (“we”, “us”), who operate AlignCV. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the service.

AlignCV rewrites and reorders the content of a CV you upload so that it reads more relevantly against a job description you supply, and produces a downloadable DOCX or PDF.

It is designed not to invent experience: generated lines are checked against your original CV, and lines that cannot be traced back to it are discarded. This check is mechanical and thorough, but no automated check is perfect. You are responsible for reading anything you download before you send it to an employer, and for making sure it is accurate.

Keep your sign-in details secure and do not share your account. Tell us at {{CONTACT_EMAIL}} if you think someone else has access to it. You must be at least 16 to use AlignCV.

You keep ownership of your CV and anything else you upload. You give us permission to store and process it only so far as is needed to provide the service, including sending relevant parts to our AI provider. See the privacy policy for the detail.

You confirm that what you upload is yours to upload, and that it is accurate. Do not upload someone else’s CV without their permission, and do not use the service to misrepresent anyone’s experience or qualifications.

Do not attempt to break, overload, reverse engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service, and do not use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or close an account that does.

We aim to keep AlignCV available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change or withdraw features. If we make a material change to these terms we will tell you before it takes effect.

AlignCV is a writing and formatting tool. We do not promise that using it will get you an interview or a job, and we are not a recruitment agency or a careers adviser.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your legal rights as a consumer are unaffected. {{LIABILITY_LIMITATION_CLAUSE}}

You can stop using AlignCV and delete your account at any time. We may end this agreement if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms.

These terms are governed by the law of {{GOVERNING_LAW_JURISDICTION}}, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
