Most AI writing tools promise they will not exaggerate your experience. That is a promise about intent, and there is no way for you to check it.

What the score means
Your match score is calculated from structured comparisons — skills, technologies, experience, education, seniority and keyword coverage — not guessed by a language model. The weighting is documented, and every point is traceable to a specific matched or missing requirement.
This score is an AlignCV estimate of how closely your CV matches this job. It is not a guarantee of passing any employer’s applicant tracking system.

Questions
How is this different from pasting my CV into ChatGPT?
A general model has no way to tell the difference between rewording your experience and inventing new experience that fits the job. AlignCV checks every generated line against your original CV before you see it, and discards the ones that do not resolve. It also gives you a formatted DOCX or PDF rather than chat text.
Will the CV get through an applicant tracking system?
The exported documents use a single linear column with no tables, columns or text boxes, which are the structures ATS parsers most often mangle. Keywords are aligned to the job description, but only where your CV genuinely supports them.
What if a section cannot be rewritten confidently?
That section keeps your original wording rather than risking an invented rewrite. You are told which sections those were, in the app — that note never appears in the document you download.
What formats can I download?
DOCX and PDF. Both preserve the section order and headings from your original CV rather than forcing a fixed template.
Can I use my own AI provider key?
Yes. Add an Anthropic key in settings and it is used for your generations instead of ours. It is encrypted at rest and never shown, logged or returned to the browser again.
